Wow, Pushpendra that is a nice and pleasant surprise. Glad to Note you and family are fine. Touch wood we are all fine here too but living like caged animals fearing an invisible Corona Virus. Winter has set it and first lockdowns have been lifted but as the flu season starts and people have let the guard down there is the fear of this second wave and also the new more dangerous mutations from Beijing,, My only outings are walking my dog a few times a week but around the block and few medical visits. Since Christmas I have not been to anyone's home and today was the first time I went to my DILs brothers B Day lunch. I have been busy maintaining a Corona Blog. take a look when Time permits. It is a Public Blog of Info minus Conspiracy theories.. https://corona-daily-updates.blogspot.com/
Cheers and Take Care
Ramboaus.

If You don't Mind Pushpendra, can you jog my memory and explain to me how you got in touch with me and which year and when were you training at BHEL and when did you join Maruti and when you got married. I had everything archived but lost the lot when my Apple Mac Crashed and video card died in 2017. Was it through IIT Global or Jago India yahoo group.

Sure. I can recall everything so clearly:

I reach out to BHU alumni in 2004 to seek assistance. One of the alumnus Mr. Vasudev Raghwan posted the same in some forum (I don't know which one). You responded to him to connect with Dr. V. Gopalakrishnan.
I met Dr. VGK in Sep / Oct'04; who was too kind to let me work twice at BHEL
Dec'04: 3 weeks training on Autocad
May - Jun'05: 6 weeks training at BHEL Trichy

I graduated in 2007 and joined Maruti as my first company in the same year.
I got married in Jul-2013.
I am so thankful to all of you!
Let me know please; if I could re-collect any other information.
Regards
Pushpendra Kumar

XXXXXXXX

Thanks Pushpendra that clarifies everything now.

in 2002, I created the IIT Global Yahoo Groups that brought alumni from all IITs under one big Group and at one stage we had 5000 members. BHU was not IIT then I think but I encouraged all BHU alumni to Join. Probably Roorkee eng college had become an IIT by then. So that is how I connected with Vasu even though we have never met. Rest of it I remember.

Which year were you in 2004? . I thought you had graduated by then. What help did you ask Vasu for and why ?
Did you complete your masters in 2007 ?
Are you still with Maruti and what is your job designation now ?

Please send me present photo with Mrs and children if you don't mind. I presume you are living in Noida now ?  What is the situation with Covid at Noida now. Are you all safe ? Take Care.

Yes, BHU was not an IIT in 2004.

I was in 2nd Year in 2004 (2003 - 07 batch). I completed my B.Tech (Mechanical) in 2007.
As part of our course curriculum; I was supposed to (mandatory) attend the summer internship program in some organization. We had a choice to either arrange own our own at our preferred location and firm OR the college would arrange this for us. If it was arranged by the college then it could be in any city of India and I was supposed to bear all expense. I didn't have money and hence wanted to get help from someone in assisting an internship within Delhi (my home place).

I asked for help; Mr. Vasu got lead from you and hence I was lucky enough to get blessings of Dr. Gopalakrishnan through you. Dr. Gopalakrishnan was too kind and when he learnt about my background; he immediately offered to assist me beyond training.

I wanted to get an education loan of 1 Lac INR in 2004; but as you know - the loans were available only for those who had money or something to a mortgage. I had nothing to offer to a bank to get a loan sanctioned. On this, Dr. Gopalakrishnan offered to be my guarantor for my loan application and luckily my loan too got approved.

I joined Maruti in 2007; but couldn't continue my interest in same. I left within 6 months. Probably my destiny had something else for me. I worked in Infosys and few other companies until Jan'2012.
In 2012 - I was again lucky to start a firm with one Partner (Vladimir, a US citizen). We two worked for a few months together and then our firm got lot of blessings and each year was a better year than the previous year. Firm name is Prudentia Group (www.prudentia-grp.com). About 5 years ago, Dr. Gopalakrishnan too visited our office and shared his experience with our team in India.

Presently, Prudentia has 75+ full-time consultants. We have offices in NJ, Noida and BLR. Our client base is in US, EU and Japan. We provide technical and management services in Pharmacovigilance area.

Situation with Covid is good for us so far.

With your blessings; we are all safe and healthy.
Attached is my family photo :-).

Visiting Purinder and Pushpendra & my Smule Partner Dr Sanjay Dawan at Noida is now top of my Bucket List
